About A Parrot Perch Rescue

We are a parrot rescue located in Pierce City, Missouri that was recently started in 2010. We accept all species of parrots with the intention to rehabilitate and find permanent homes for them. We provide veterinary care for all of our parrots as well as a diverse diet and stimulating atmosphere. All of the surrendered parrots are kept in foster homes, allowing them to get personal attention in a safe environment.

Without the help of individuals and local businesses that support us, A Parrot's Perch would not be where it is today. That is why we have created a dedicated Supporters page to honour those who have helped our rescue.

About Peanut

Peanut is an Umbrealla Cockatoo who has recently had to under go surgery for a prolapsed womb. She had already had 4 operations when Erin contacted us and by February 2014 she was under going her 8th procedure.

When she is not undergoing surgery she is always happy to help out at the Reception Desk, in her own fashion and keepng everyone else in check. 

To say that she is a plucky Too' is an understatement and I am sure she has stolen plenty of hearts along the way.
